Aubrey Hagens

Aubrey Hagens - Scholarship Recipient 2019


Aubrey is currently working for a small flight school in Seattle, Washington as a flight instructor (CFI, CFII, and MEI). She obtained her degree in finance and worked as an accountant before deciding she wanted a better office view. She says that being a pilot challenges her every day; and as a result has made her more confident, fulfilled, and excited about life. She will be using the scholarship to continue pursuing her dreams.


Madchen Petry

Madchen Petry - Scholarship Recipient 2019


Madchen is currently attending the University of Nebraska. She has juggled 2 part time jobs throughout her schooling in order to pay for school herself. She has maintained over a 3.5 GPA while serving as Student President of Alpha Eta Rho and Treasurer at her local Women in Aviation chapter.


Charnel Walls

Charnell Walls - Scholarship Recipient 2019


Charnell is currently finishing her Bachelor of Science in Aviation from the University of Oklahoma. Although the holds an associates degree in both accounting and chemistry, she returned to school after a 22 year hiatus to pursue professional pilot training. This dedicated former flight attendant and mom has been working 2 jobs as a student employee while serving as President of her local Women in Aviation Organization and Vice President of the Sooner Air Traffic Control Association.


Megan Whittard

Megan Whittard - Scholarship Recipient 2019


Megan is currently working on her Masters in Aviation Management and Human Factors concurrently with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Management Technology from Arizona State University. She will obtain her BS in May 2019 and will finish her MS in May 2020. As an overachieving student and motivated pilot, her GPA is 4.0.








Type Ratings

We have selected six women to interview with us at the Women in Aviation Conference in Long Beach, CA, for our two 737/A320 Type Rating Scholarships. The recipients will be announced shortly after the conference.
